Your Neighburr Gives A Wink, Not A Wave.
If you follow me on instagram you likely saw the hats I was sporting in my most recent #stmBEDsunday series. (Find the full series by clicking here.) The hats come from a new Canadian brand called Neighburr.
Mark Gatto decided to start the company when he grew tired of searching for the perfect ball cap he could wear for just about any occasion. (I can totally relate. For me it’s the perfect black golf shirt I am always on the hunt for.) He focused on quality caps that had just the right amount of extra umph.
The name Neighburr comes from the idea of a community of like minded individuals who enjoy things like minimalism design, originality and no surprise here, quality.
Where other companies often place a loud logo, Mark wanted to do something a little different in order to make his hats more sophisticated. Capitalizing on his years of experience as a graphic designer, the entrepreneur developed an edited series of thoughtful graphic shapes to place on the caps.
The graphics, while bold in concept, instantly become more mature and reserved when placed tone on tone to match the caps themselves. They offer, as Neighburr puts it, a wink instead of a wave. Smart move if you ask me.
If you are looking to upgrade your chapeau collection, head on over to www.neighburr.com to learn more. If you decide to order one you can look forward to receiving it in one of the coolest boxes ever. (Hey cool products deserve cool packaging and Neighburr nailed it on this one!) If you are in Toronto, on May 5th head on over to Gotstyle at 62 Bathurst Street from 6-9pm for the official launch party for Neighburr, you might even find me there 😉
